Jackie Burson, MS, NCC, LPC, RPT
Jackie Burson is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Registered Play Therapist and author of 7 books. She has a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Texas Christian University and a Master of Science in Counseling degree from Texas Woman’s University. Jackie is a member of the Texas Counseling Association and the Association for Play Therapy.
Over the last 10 years, Jackie has been fortunate to be a part of the helping profession in many different capacities. She entered the field helping women reach their full potential by providing support and counseling to help facilitate positive growth and change at a Women’s Center in Fort Worth. She then went on to work in public education as a special education teacher and school counselor. The last few years have been spent as a private practice Counselor and Play Therapist.
As the author of 7 books used by counselors nationwide, Jackie chose to put all of her unique and original ideas in these books to help other counselors and parents deal with some of the challenges children face today. These books focus on helping children and adolescents with character traits, self-esteem, leadership and social skills.
Jackie strongly believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship. She enjoys guiding individuals through the process of self-exploration, where clients increase their self-awareness and realize the power they have to make life changes.
